2015 Georgia Work Ready Certification Results

In October, students enrolled in Career and Technical Education programs at DeKalb High School of Technology - South were assessed on the Georgia Work Keys certification exam. It's an assessment designed by ACT, the company that developed the ACT college entrance exam. It’s work ready communities empowers counties and states with data, process, and tools that drive economic growth. The ACT Work Keys measures workplace literacy and applied mathematics and includes a database of more than 14,000 job profiles. It also measures identified skills needed on the job, assesses an individual's skill level, and helps identify training needed to close the skills gap.

Work Ready certification is recognized by several Fortune 500 companies, over 1000 Fortune businesses and thousands of international companies located in over 285 cities throughout the state of Georgia and 42 states across the nation. Over 200 seniors destined for college and/or the workplace, depending on their scores, received gold, silver, or bronze level certificates, which qualifies them as Georgia Work Ready Certified.
