On Friday, March 14, 2014, DeKalb High School ofTechnology - South students participated at the SkillsUSA State Competition at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA. These students competed against over 1,500 students in the state of Georgia which consisted over 400 high schools. Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding performance:

On Friday, February 7, 2014, DeKalb High School ofTechnology - South students participated at the Region Competition at Atlanta Area Technical College in Atlanta, GA.These students competed against over 266 students in Region 3, which consisted of 38 high schools in Georgia. 2014

DeKalb High School of Technology - South won 1st Place and a $100 prize at the SkillsUSA Fall Rally in Perry, GA in October. Students had to create a chapter T-shirt that displays creativity and visual appeal. They were judged on General Effect / Impact, Design Elements, and Chapter Support.

DHST-S won 7th Place in Career Pathway Display and a $10.00 prize. The Barbering students competed and had to work together to create a display that accurately represents the career pathway that is present in their local school. They were judged on General Effect / Impact, Design Elements, and Uniqueness / Creativity of Design.

DHST-S participated in the STORM---Student Training for Officer Responsibilities and Management Officer training on October 22, 2013 at Cambridge High School. Student leaders completed the training and the school has been recognized as a STORM Ready School Chapter.
